Hi, I’m Emily Amara. I live in the South Shore of Massachusetts with my partner, Jeff, and my sweet 5 year old maltipoo, Bianca (aka our VP of Client Happiness).
I speak Spanish, some French, and I am learning Portuguese, but Italian will always have my heart.
I remember the first time I played with a “real” computer. Yes, I’m an 80s baby. I was around 6 years old and my dad took me to wait in a long line at a bookstore in Northampton, Massachusetts for a coveted 5 minutes to play with the first CD-Rom that had arrived in the area. When it was my turn, he told me, “Emily, don’t forget this moment. This is the future.” And from that moment on, I was obsessed with thinking about the future and how technology could shape it.
Becoming a lawyer was my lifelong dream. I hit a few bumps in the road along the way, including an unexpected detour teaching Spanish to elementary school children. That detour ended up becoming a gift because through that experience, I learned how much I enjoy working with young people. As fate would have it, a large portion of my law practice is dedicated to representing children in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases.
I’ve learned, and am still learning, that it all fits together, even when you think the puzzle pieces never will. Which leads me to this exciting innovation journey where I am lucky enough to combine my two loves: the law and tech in order to help lawyers lawyer smarter and live better.
I love music, which stems from my background as a competitive, classical pianist. Fashion is my passion and dogs bring me so much joy. My tagline (Bravo, call me!) is: Fashion is my coffee and my coffee is espresso.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know you!

Hello, I'm Melanie Nava. I was born and raised in Mexico where I currently live and work remotely for Amara Law.
I am a Spanish native speaker, but I've spoken English my whole life so I count it as my second native language.
Most of my professional experience has been in the customer service field, which I am really good at, as I feel fulfilled when helping others.
People remember how you made them feel more than what you said to them. Because of this, I try to make clients feel welcomed and heard when we have a call or are chatting through text.
I enjoy learning about other cultures and finding what makes us all different and similar. So I like traveling and exploring other countries' music and food; realistically I can't hop on a plane anytime I feel like it, but I am always listening to albums in different languages and cooking recipes from around the world. I like to think that this helps (as the saying goes) to walk a mile in other people's shoes.
Thank you for choosing us. When you get in contact with us, I'll be there, happy to help you!

Her mission statement is to remind us not to take life too seriously, and to prioritize our well-being.

Hi, I’m Bianca. I enjoy the simple things in life: treats, walks, naps, the beach, and comfortable blankets.
I am super independent, and I love my family and my inner circle dearly. I tend to forget that I’m a dog, and am not a big fan of playing with other dogs…like ever.
You can often find me rocking some fierce fashion that my mother seems to think I enjoy wearing. My parents call me a sour patch kid, but I have no idea why because I’m always sweet.
You’d be shocked to learn that my favorite activity is playing ball and I can run faster than most goldens. My happy place is P-Town and I love the snow. See you soon on Zoom!
